You're depressed and you're drunk

And you're achingly alone

The most stunningly miserable success

Your town's ever grown

And you can't go home

Worked twice as hard as them all

So you'd go twice as far

But far as you got, you could not

Outrun who you are

So you hit the bar

And let it take you away, away, away

A wasted waste, waste, waste

Now I'm bereft and I'm drunk

Know the ache of being alone

The most shockingly miserable sequel

This world's ever known

Never found a home

Flew far away as I could

And, like you, fell real far

Seems far as I got, I could not

Outrun who we are

So I hit the bar

Saying take me away, away, away

A wasted waste, waste, waste
